Air conditioning systems account for a large proportion of any business’s energy usage. At The Ideal Group, our aim is to help you reduce your energy consumption and your carbon footprint, and to achieve this aim, we conduct inspections that are designed to identify inefficiencies and help businesses reduce their operating costs and carbon emissions.

Our certified inspectors have the experience and expertise required to inspect the most complex air conditioning units and produce a comprehensive report to help you optimise the design and operation of your air conditioning system for maximum efficiency and to ensure your compliance with legislation.

When you choose to hire our qualified inspectors for conducting an energy inspection of your facility, we not only assess whether the system is operating efficiently or not, but suggest you alternative solutions to reduce your air conditioning costs without compromising on the indoor air quality or the comfort of the occupants.

When air conditioning inspections are required?
All air conditioning systems with an effective rated output of more than
12kw must be regularly inspected by an energy assessor. The inspections must be no more than five years apart.
The regulations require the first inspection of the affected air conditioning systems to be carried out as follows:

All systems first put into service on or after 1 January 2008, the first inspection must have taken place within five years of the date when the system was first put into service
All other air conditioning systems, where the effective rated output is more than 250kW the first inspection must have taken place by 4 January 2009
For all other air conditioning systems, where the effective rated output is more than 12kW the first inspection must have taken place by 4 January 2011
